Most of the things I make emerge while playing around with bits of paper. The first Arty Farty came to be when I was browsing through the exhibition book 'Wonderful Things', a show by photographer Tim Walker at the V&A. Walker selected objects from the museum's collections and used them as inspiration for a new series of photographs.
One of the objects that inspired Walker also caught my eye and after adding some glitter paper, the first Arty Farty was born. The images used for the prints you see here come from the image banks of the Wellcome collection and the MK&G Hamburg collection. Lots of museums share their collections online and images with a public domain mark can be freely used by others.
If you are looking for images to use in your own projects this list of resources is a great place to start.
